Christie was born and raised in Hong Kong, currently living in London.
Since 2010 she is indulged in events photography, documenting events like Olympics torch relay, TEDxUCL and London Chinese New year Celebration, just to name a few. She was the official photographer for UCLU Magic Society and British Chinese Project.
She regularly collaborates with various fashion bloggers, make-up artists and boutiques,taking a street photography approach on showing the latest trends and outfits. Between 2011 to 2013 she was the in-house photographer for Heaven and Earth Clothing and 20-20 Optical Store.
In the summer of 2011, Christie worked as part of the amazing team in Stepcase, which has produced multimillion-download photography apps such as Labelbox. She initiated marketing campaigns on social media platforms including Facebook and Weibo, while actively engaged in the in-app filter design process.
Christie has been working with the award-winning charity PhotoVoice since 2013, and become immensely interested in the participatory photography and how this methodology brings social change and impact on individual lives. In summer 2014 she co-faciliated a research workshop using this methodology to explore water management issues in Yunnan, China, as part of the Development Progress project.
During her studies at UCL, she was the darkroom manager of the UCLU Photo Society where she ran workshops on developing and printing with photographic chemicals for members every week.
